Politics is second-nature to April Griffin. She looks to continue her career as Hillsborough County's next tax collector.

The former school board member, with nearly 30 years' experience under her belt, seeks to fill the seat that will be left vacant by current tax collector Doug Belden after his term ends in 2021. She faces off against challenger Nancy Millan, a fellow Democrat who will face her in the county's August primary race.
